I want to tell you why I have endorsed **Restore the First** — a citizens' coalition for the First Amendment organized around the six named plaintiffs in *Finn v. Global Engagement Center*, the federal jawboning case that was dismissed in July 2026 on pleading defects without ever ruling on the evidence.

**Here is what the record shows.** From February to July 2021, six Americans — doctors, journalists, health-freedom advocates — were designated in a private CCDH report as the "Disinformation Dozen." The White House pressured Facebook, in writing, to act. The company reduced those six accounts' distribution by sixty percent. In 2026 a federal judge dismissed their lawsuit on procedural grounds. The evidence sits, unruled on, in the public docket.

- *For a business or nonprofit audience:* "A coalition that protects the First Amendment upstream — before your organization becomes the next test case — protects your ability to communicate with your own people."

**Restore the First is asking Congress for three things:**

1. **Preserve** the records — every email, every platform log — before they are lost.
2. **Hold public hearings** where the six named Americans testify under oath.
3. **Create a private right of action** so any American penalized by government-directed platform pressure can sue and be heard.
